Peter Robinson
Peter Robinson has two feature screenplays which have been optioned by Shutt/Jones Productions (Blue Crush). Unsportsmanlike Conduct, a romantic comedy about a controversial ex-football star who goes on a national book tour to promote his autobiography with a strong-willed female publicist, is also being Produced by A Wink And A Nod and Gryphon Films (The Cooler). Extra Pillows, a high-concept comedy about staid, responsible furniture store managers who inadvertently become "party kings" and a target for trouble when they begin having late night wild parties at the store, has also been optioned to Shutt/Jones Productions.
Peter Robinson is also the writer, producer and director of Lunch With Louie, a short comic film that has enjoyed success all over the world. Since its world premiere at the 1997 American Film Institute Los Angeles International Film Festival at Mann's Chinese Theatre on October 29, 1997, Lunch With Louie has been selected for entry by more than thirty-five major film festivals around the world. It was a Trophy Winner at the 1998 Rochester International "Movies on a Shoestring" Film Festival, a Finalist in the Short Comedy competition at the 1998 Santa Clarita International Film Festival, a Certificate of Merit winner at the 1998 Long Island International Film Festival, and a Finalist in the National Short Film and Video Competition of the 1998 USA Film Festival.
Lunch With Louie also received The Eddie Constantine Prize, the top international prize, at the 1998 Festival International "Acteurs, Acteurs" in Tours, France. It was also voted an "Audience Choice" film (both Most Viewed and Highest Rated) on www.atomfilms.com, the most prestigious website that shows short films. It has been shown on television channels all over the world. The film is distributed by Apollo Cinema (theatrical) and Terry Steiner International (non-theatrical).
Lunch With Louie is Peter Robinson's first film.
He has written for such television programs as Brooklyn Bridge and Showroom. He has also written several plays and published a children's book, Color Wheel.
A graduate of Sarah Lawrence College, Mr. Robinson also attended Columbia University and studied in Dublin, Ireland. He lives in southern California with his wife and two children.
